I saw this Dory in the Maine Maritime Museum.
My impressions of Maine are coloured by the presence of the weather, the cold, the drizzle, the low fogbanks. I suspect that my paintings of Maine would be completely different if I'd ever been there in the summer.

The Gift
It was expected that a visitor would arrive in Banthanti bearing as a gift something that represented his own culture.
I began to regret my choice long before I reached the outskirts of the sprawling megalopolis.

Summer at last. Producing new work
It seems like forever since I was able to get my teeth into some new paintings that werent directed towards a client or a project. School is over and I am finally getting to look at Maine and Door County sketchbooks. I currently have 6 or seven new paintings on easels in the studio and I have about 6 in my head waiting to be started.
So here's a couple of them. The top one is 21 x 28 on paper and the bottom one is 6 x 8 on board.
