So I returned from Maine with arms full of sketches of boats and harbours and seascapes and guns. Two beautiful weeks up and down the mid coast around Boothbay Harbour. And I am mindful of the fact that being somewhere else is what I like best of all. Even if where I am isnt all that exciting in and of itself.
Its the fact that its not home that creates a crackle of tension.
A sense of discovery.
A quest to find something. A fear that I'll miss something
Off to Boston for four days to paint works for reproduction to hang in the corridors and guest rooms of the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel
Very exciting.
For me, its learning about other ways to live.
